The Upstate Artists Guild is a not-for-profit volunteer organization, open to all, which promotes the
appreciation, practice, and enjoyment of art. Our mission is to promote art education and artistic
endeavors throughout the community; to maintain a space in which to meet for the purpose of exhibitions,
lectures, and instruction; and to work with the community to stimulate an interest in the arts.

+ Chalk Walk - Art at the Market
+ July 6th, 2014 at 10:00 PM
Our very good friends at the Kinderhook Farmers' Market are hosting an event they call Chalk Walk.
This year's theme is "Delicious Inspiration".
For more information, see the linked PDFs or read the following information. (The PDFs have more detail than you can see here).
- Chalk Walk Flyer
- Chalk Walk Application
- Chalk Walk Release Forms
Each artist or team will be matched up with one of our local Hudson Valley vendors. Artists will be informed of their vendor when notified of participation.
Let the market as a whole, or perhaps the charming, unique historic setting along with
your vendorís locally harvested foods or delicious handmade offerings serve as your
inspiration to create a work of art in chalk celebrating the bounty of the farmersí market
and the season. Paintings will be completed in designated areas, and participation is limited.
Towels or kneepads are recommended for the comfort of all participants.
